The LEED rating system was developed by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) to promote buildings that are not only environmentally responsible in their design, but sustainable, profitable in their operation and healthy to live and work in.

Wooster Products is the leading manufacturer in safety treads and stair nosings. NITEGLOW photoluminescence treads and nosings offer a glow-in-the-dark feature, perfect for blackouts or other building failures. During the last year, many cities have enforced a mandatory requirement for NITEGLOW and similar products. Any building within a metropolitan area reaching higher than seven stories must incorporate photoluminescence treads for power failures and other malfunctions. These products meet the 2009 international fire codes for major cities in the United States.
